Our recyclable materials offer a unique combination of sustainability, strength, and distinctive tactile properties. These materials were developed to decrease the use of plastic in flexible packaging, making it possible to replace fossil-based materials in various packaging applications.
It has exceptional strength, resists moisture and grease and is recyclable in conventional carton board and paper recycling streams.
The material is resource efficient and can provide strength in a much lighter weight. The Pulp is sourced from FSC® certified sustainably managed forests, preserving forestry and biodiversity.
The wood-fibre-based materials are FSC® certified by our suppliers.

UK's First WOOD FIBRE Drill Bit Pouches in production.
We are also pleased to announce that UK Fixings Giant T.I. Midwood (TIMCO) are the first in the UK to order WOOD FIBRE DRILL BIT PACKAGING. The NEW packs are being produced from specialist wood fibre, without plastic content, Heat Sealed, and FULL-COLOUR digitally printed on our HP Indigo press. The packs feature stiffening in the upper around the Euroslot hanger for greater strength. The new packs can be 100% fully recycled in general paper recycling streams .
We take our hat off to TIMCO for being the first in the UK to go WOOD FIBRE for packaging Drill Bits.

There is a new kid in town, when it comes to Hardware Packaging!
A new breakthrough for Criterion Packaging and our new sustainable materials - Footprint Tools adopts our renewable and recyclable material for their product packaging. Footprint Tools, a hand tool manufacturer from the UK, moved their first products from traditional plastic and cardboard packaging into packaging made of renewable and recyclable material from Criterion Packaging. Working alongside ourselves in Sheffield, together with the material team, a new type of pack for the DIY/tool industry has been launched. Footprint Tools is the first in the hardware market to use lightweight but strong material for their product packaging.
• Footprint Tools reported a 600 kg plastic saving per year on just this one product.
• The product stands out on the shelf, due to the elevated look and the large print area.
• Stores get more stock out as the products take up less room.
• CO2 and cost are saved in transport due to a lighter pack and shipping more per box, using less outer packaging.
• Easily recyclable wood fibre materials recyclable in the paper waste stream.
• 100% recyclable and sustainable qualities of this material create more consumer shelf appeal than recycled plastics.
